SurtitlePro is Europe's leading program for surtitles in opera houses and theaters. Since its initial release in 1986, the software has focused specifically on the needs of this emerging customer group and user.
Today, over 30 years later, we offer four different versions, each reflecting technological advancements and diverse requirements. All versions include essential features such as a crash function, Word file import, and user-friendly operation as standard.

Summary of version differences

Version 6
This device can display a virtually unlimited number of languages. It is suitable for use with seating systems, as well as LED and projection systems.
Version 5
Designed for two languages ​​for synchronous display. Import and export of Word files are possible during the libretto development process. The program is designed for seating systems and features ample space for individual advertising on each screen or for welcoming VIPs.
Version 4
This version is also designed for electronic display systems installed for each individual spectator. It features a Figaro-compatible data output.
Version 3
Single-seat version for smaller theaters for one-language surtitles.

Clear structure

The menu is clearly and logically structured. The user can quickly learn the basics.

  1. Program options such as crossfade times and control instruments.
  2. Documentation of the latest uploads on the displays.

  3. Editing window for live text editing in all languages. The window can be closed when not needed.

  4. Keyword list. All parameters for the presentation are included. The individual cues only need to be executed.

Edit

One problem with multilingual translations is coordinating with the translators. They are usually not present during rehearsals. For this reason, the operator can write individual comments for each text block in each language and record these comments during rehearsals and proofreading. Only then are the text excerpts exported in the different languages ​​and sent to the translators for revision. The revised excerpts are then imported back into the program.
